Weatherbowers
Part twisted brambles, part basket weaving, Weatherbowers are nests. Inspired by a tangle cut grapevines, the first Weatherbower wove itself together and into a light fixture that hangs in Matthew's home, collecting knick-knack, treasures & keepsakes. Another came into being for a music video, built on sight in the snow on the side of Mt Hood. Others have been garden sculptures and wedding presents. Each is totally unique and made from gathered sticks, snags, branches & cuttings.
The Weatherbower featured in this video was created the invaluable assistance of Jason Michael Keeton. It is viewable from 3:07-end.
The birds seen landing in the Weatherbower were paid in granola. No animals were harmed in the making of this film.
